Marc Stone is proud to announce a Marc Stone & Thelma Herzl limited edition collection for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2013, designed in collaboration with Icelandic artist Thelma Herzl .
For the first time, as a part of the Spring Summer Collection 2013 Marc Stone will introduce a limited edition “Marc Stone & Thelma Herzl” capsule line. It has been designed exclusively in collaboration with Icelandic artist Thelma Herzl and is inspired by her recent book “ASKA”. Herzl's black-and-white photographs show volcanic formations full of fragile beauty and mysticism.
The limited edition Spring/Summer 2013 collection incorporates Thelma Herzl's stunning pictures of ash patterns into a range of exclusive Marc Stone garments. The collection, which will only include items designed for men, will be available starting in November 2012 at its showrooms worldwide and its online store.
Marc Stone’s Spring Collection is a journey to the unpredictable Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland. A place of pure and rough nature in a state of serenity and calm – after the eruptions have ceased.
The Summer Collection features a minimalistic, effortless look with loose items and structured jackets. It’s a strong, pure, and spirited collection that enhances the feeling of the movement. The fluid silhouettes appear in a dramatic palette of ashes and natural environment. Neutral colors like clean white and soft sand contrast with cement, dusty grey, steel, and blacks creating a unique play of shades. Marc Stone’s Spring Summer collection is urban and minimal. It's fabrics and design reflect the infinite variety of the ash formations that spur a quiet but equally profound dialogue between humans and nature.
“We are extremely excited about this limited edition collection and also into work beside such a brilliant artist as Thelma Herzl is a privilege for us. We think that her work matches perfect with the minimalistic spirit of Marc Stone “ Said Marco Steiner, fashion creative director of Marc Stone.
