With the new season’s fashion very much inspired by the intricate spirits of decades past, this issue of MMSCENE has truly taken us on a nostalgia journey. The nineties denim era is in full swing with the story featuring our cover boy DANIEL HIVNER masterfully capturing that nostalgic moment in a shoot by Elias Tahan. Gotham city itself became part of our sixth edition in stories by Sarah Brickey and Maria Radaeva as well as the studio shoot by Robert Mendolia.

Elsewhere in the new issue art becomes inspiration with stories from Aleksey Zubarev and Smagina Margarita, both presenting their own, modern twist. The narrative takes centre stage in both of the stories, with the great help of the models who became true actors of the photographer’s frame.
Further down the issue we had the chance to catch up with two talented creatives, both taking the spotlight even tho oceans away from fashion capitals such as New York or London. The one somewhat closer to our home is Israel based Eliran Nargassi, who is a true example of a successful young designer making a name for himself industry. Moments before you’ll have a chance to see the other side of the industry with Joshua Davies the Menswear Head Designer at TY-LR, Australian brand already established as a power player on its own continent. While one is independent and other part of a growing empire, both are an example of how geography is hardly a part of a success story in today’s fashion industry.
We made sure to continue the conversation with the models who are the core of this magazine by letting you meet two faces already featured on our pages – Wesley the promising South African as well as Lucas who brought his Latin charm once again to MMSCENE. Nevertheless we also had a chance to go for a walk around NYC with Mitchell and spotlight one of the true stars of the modelling industry, Don Benjamin. The young model has truly grasped the potential a spotlight in this business offers, from finding fame in the widely popular America’s Next Top Model to venturing into music, fashion and everything a Don Benjamin face can sell he’s a true example of a millennial-model entrepreneur.
To wrap up with Don, who so clearly shows what powers does today’s modelling industry poses, it is easy to say those 10 seconds on a runway are indeed a path to a career in the making.
