While our coats are out of the closet, for some the first time this season, we are already bidding farewell to the Winter collections presenting the same for the last time on our editorial pages. Nevertheless while wrapping the February 2016 issue of MMSCENE we are already looking into which outfits we are to wear in a year time. Starting with London the fashion week month is now already steaming ahead, at least all those warm jackets on the runways are keeping us in the winter mood while we are to shoot the much lighter ss16 collections whatever the weather.
Our cover star himself is taking a look back, posing in one of the signature looks of the Winter season, the bold printed statement coming from the Givenchy collection by Riccardo Tisci. Stefano a model and a musician, embodies the vision of a model for the year 2016. With new laws waking up the fashion industry now coming even to the infamous Paris model model measurements, the era of the super-skinny is once again behind us. Reminding all of us we might have gone too far reshaping the body image of fashion consumers.
Whether models are to hit back the gyms or the rules are to be bent once again, the international sentiment of MMSCENE was again a priority for us. Our cover boy flew for the shoot to Istanbul to capture the story with the talented Ozan Guler with styling from Emrecan Sandal, while our other contributors worked on the new issue literally around the globe.
We prepared for you an outlook of the Winter season with stories captured in Australia, United Kingdom, Spain and from Texas to New York of course the USA. While in South Africa where the summer is in full bloom we found a designer to watch, who sat down for a bit of small talk with us.
