SYSTEM unveiled its Spring Summer 2027 collection, SEEKER : The Journey, taking its cue from Knulp, the wandering figure from Hermann Hesse’s novel of the same name. The reference frames a figure who lives on the road, keeps his own elegance and dignity, and remains free yet solitary. His life stays in transit, shaped by distance, independence, and the traces gathered over time.

The collection turns that idea into clothing through a natural and understated mood. SYSTEM works with garments that suggest long use, soft handling, and familiar wear. Relaxed silhouettes give the collection an easy line, and fluid structures bring a sense of lightness. Beauty comes from surfaces, proportions, and fabric behavior that feel lived in, with emotion drawn from daily use and time on the road.

Tailoring gives the season its main structure. Relaxed H-line jackets, cigarette pants, and draped pieces create a balance between shape and softness. The palette begins with deep neutrals, mainly browns and khakis, then adds violet and olive green. Fabric choices support the same direction. Cotton appears in various densities, joined by soft jersey, lightweight functional materials, washed finishes, and natural textures that suggest age, touch, and wear. The result is a wardrobe that feels refined, personal, and grounded in the idea of clothing shaped by experience.

SYSTEM presented the collection on June 25 at the Musée des Archives Nationales in Paris‘ Marais district. Opened in 1867, the museum brings classical French architecture together with a secluded courtyard setting. The outdoor space, filled with natural light, allowed changes in light and air during the day to support the season’s natural mood.

SEEKER read as a study of freedom, solitude, and self-definition through clothing. Relaxed tailoring and draping gave the collection its sense of ease, while neutral tones kept the mood grounded. Washed textures brought in the trace of time and use, linking the clothes back to the idea of a life spent on the road.
