Luxury house DIOR presented collaboration with BIRKENSTOCK as part of their CD 1947 Capsule Collection, that celebrates dialogue between Kim Jones and the legacy of Monsieur Dior. The collaboration features two iconic Birkenstock‘s styles – the Milano sandal and Tokio mule – reimagined by Dior‘s codes and technical details. The collection that was inspired by Christian Dior’s love of nature and gardens, fuses functionality and elegance, and it brings ideal pieces for the outdoors. Emblematic of the line, new “Christian Dior” signature and the year of the first Dior défilé – 1947, are featured on the looks. Fashion photographer Jackie Nickerson captured the lookbook featuring models Nonso David and Teo Fortin. In charge of styling was Melanie Ward, with casting direction from Shelley Durkan.
